We start from Florence about 8,30 our first stop is  San Gimignano  there we will visit:

Piazza della Cisterna: a triangular shape square with a slight natural slope and is connected to the nearby Piazza del Duomo by an open passage, is its name is due to the ancient cistern located in the center of the square.

Piazza del Duomo: The square of the Cathedral of San Gimignano was the center of religious and political life of the town in the Middle Ages.

Palazzo Comunale:The Palazzo Comunale (Italian: Municipal palace), also known as the Palazzo del Popolo (Italian: People’s palace) of San Gimignano has been the seat of the civic authority in the comune since the 13th century. It is located on the Piazza del Duomo close to the Collegiate Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Torre Grossa: Torre Grossa is the highest tower of San Gimignano (hence the name) and is located in Piazza del Duomo, next to the new Palazzo del Podesta. It was exactly that began on August 21, 1300, four months after the city hosted Dante Alighieri, and was finished in 1311.

San Gimignano1300: SanGimignano1300 is an artistic and historical museum located in the old city of San Gimignano. The museum was inaugurated in February 2010. The exhibition is located in a renovated old church in the very centre of San Gimignano.

Museo d’Arte Sacra: The Museum of Sacred Art of San Gimignano are located in the ancient streets of Chaplains dorm Pecori 1 in San Gimignano.

Torre del Diavolo: The tower of the Devil is one of fourteen medieval towers of San Gimignano; It is located on the north side of Piazza della Cisterna and was part of the adjacent Palazzo dei Cortesi. The name derives, according to legend, by raising prodigious that the owner would one day noted with surprise return from a trip: the work would be considered an artifice of the devil.

Collegiate Church of San Gimignano: The Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, San Gimignano is a Roman Catholic collegiate church and minor basilica located in San Gimignano, Tuscany, central Italy, situated in the Piazza del Duomo at the town’s heart.

Sant’Agostino Church: The “chiesa di Sant’Agostino” (Church of St Augustine) is the second largest church in San Gimignano, Italy, after the Collegiata. It is owned by the Order of Saint Augustine. Sant’Agostino is an imposing 13th century building.

 

After San Gimignano we go  to Siena and also there there are a  lot of things to do:

Piazza del Campo: Also known as ‘il Campo’, the Piazza del Campo is a sloping piazza that has been the heart and soul of the social and civic life of Siena since the middle of the 12th century.

Torre del Mangia: The Torre del Mangia is an imposing tower located along the Piazza del Campo in Siena. This elegant and imposing tower stands 102 meters tall and is a popular tourist attraction in Siena. Designed by Muccio and Francesco di Rinaldo, the tower was built between 1325 and 1348 and is named after Giovanni di Balduccio, nicknamed Mangiaguadagni, who was the tower’s first bell ringer.

Palazzo Pubblico: The Palazzo Publico, as the name suggests is a palace in Siena that was built to be the offices of the republican government (the Podesta and the Council of Nine). It was built in 1297 and is located along the Piazza del Campo.

Museo Civico: The Museo Civico or Civic Museum is Siena’s city museum and is located on the first floor of the Palazzo Publico or city hall.

Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana: The Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana is part of the Cathedral complex in Siena, the Duomo Novo. It is one of the oldest private museums in Italy and was set up in 1869.

Siena Cathedral: The Siena Cathedral was designed and constructed between 1215 and 1263 and is a popular tourist attraction in Siena. It i was designed by Nicola Pisano, a master in the Gothic style.
